Lưu Hàn Khánh: From math prodigy to struggling elder

Lưu Hàn Khánh, once celebrated as a mathematical prodigy from a poor farming family in Jiangsu, China, has faced a significant life decline. After mastering advanced mathematics at age 11, he became the top scorer in university entrance exams at age 16, earning admission to the prestigious Harbin Institute of Technology.

While studying construction materials, Hàn Khánh became deeply obsessed with the Goldbach conjecture, a famous unsolved problem in number theory. This intense focus led him to neglect his major coursework despite warnings from professors and peers. Now approaching his 60s, he reportedly lives with his parents and relies on a monthly subsidy of 1.5 million VND.
