Duda Alves, Brazilian TikTok influencer, dies at 22

Brazilian TikTok influencer Maria Eduarda Alves dos Santos, known as Duda Alves, has died at the age of 22 in Brasília. Alves, who had over 745,000 followers on TikTok, was known for her authentic and humorous content, often referred to by her nickname, ‘the girl who hates things’.

Her death has caused significant mourning among her followers and friends. In the weeks prior to her passing, Alves had been documenting her recovery from a breast reduction surgery (mastopexy) on social media. While her recent posts discussed the procedure and the unwelcome comments she received regarding it, authorities have not officially linked the surgery to her death.

The Civil Police of the Federal District is investigating the circumstances surrounding her passing. While some reports indicate the investigation is looking into suicide, no official cause of death has been publicly released by authorities.
