Luann de Lesseps apologizes to Jennifer Lopez for lyric mistake

Luann de Lesseps, star of the Bravo spin-off ‘The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip’, has apologized to Jennifer Lopez after misquoting the singer’s famous 2002 hit song, ‘Jenny From the Block’.

During a confessional regarding whether she should be addressed as ‘Countess’ or ‘Lu’, de Lesseps stated, ‘I’m really just Lu from Connecticut. … Like J. Lo is from … the ‘hood?’ A producer corrected her, noting the lyric is actually ‘from the block.’

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, de Lesseps expressed embarrassment over the mistake, attributing it to having lived in Europe for many years during the 1990s and 2000s. She stated, ‘Of course I know ‘Jenny From the Block,’ but I forgot. So I said ‘the ‘hood.’ I’m a little embarrassed. I hope J. Lo is not upset with me, because I love her.’
