Lubelskie Voivodeship wins U16 athletics championship

The Lubelskie Voivodeship team won the U16 athletics inter-voivodeship match in Lublin, securing 435 points. The Podkarpackie Voivodeship took second place with 363 points, followed by Świętokrzyskie with 238 points and Małopolskie with 225 points.

In the Lubelskie Voivodeship club medal standings, AZS UMCS Lublin led with 19 medals, including 7 gold, 8 silver, and 4 bronze. Żak Biała Podlaska followed with 14 medals, while Tomasovia Tomaszów Lubelski earned 13. Other notable clubs included Unia Hrubieszów with 8 medals and Agros Zamość with 7 medals.

Individual champions from the Lubelskie region included Katarzyna Kata (javelin and shot put), Hubert Nowak (javelin and discus), and Szymon Kawa (hammer throw) from Tomasovia; Karina Leśniak, Tomasz Puzio (1000m steeplechase), and Gabriela Gębala (3000m walk) from Unia; and Emilia Kuźma, Kaj Szymanek (long jump), and Radosław Baran (600m) from Agros.
