Lubin community raises over 60,000 PLN for childhood cancer fundraiser

Residents of Lubin and surrounding areas gathered at the Zagłębie Lubin stadium for the ‘Razem dla Krzysia’ charity event to support 11-year-old Krzysio Wajszczak, who is battling medulloblastoma. The fundraiser has already collected over 60,000 PLN, with additional funds expected from upcoming online auctions of items donated for the festival.

The event featured various athletic and community activities, including races for children and a main running event where participants completed loops around the stadium. Beyond sports, the festival included auctions for sports jerseys and vouchers, a brick-based lottery, and various family attractions such as inflatable play areas, car shows, and gastronomic stalls. Organizers noted significant attendance from visitors traveling from cities such as Opole and Bydgoszcz.
