Lubin students raise funds for classmate with brain cancer

Students from class 6b at Primary School No. 12 in Lubin organized a spontaneous lemonade stand to support their classmate, Krzysiu Wajszczyk, who is battling brain cancer. The 12-year-old students sold lemonade, bracelets, and used books to raise funds for his medical treatment.

Operating from a stand near the Lubin zoo, the children raised over 2,000 PLN in just four hours. The initiative included the use of QR codes on printed flyers to facilitate digital donations for those without cash. Local residents showed significant support, with some donations reaching as high as 210 PLN for a single cup of lemonade. The funds collected have been transferred to the official collection account for the boy's treatment.
