Lubin to host 13th Iwona Buczek Memorial climbing competition

The 13th Iwona Buczek Memorial is scheduled to take place in Lubin on Saturday, September 26. This climbing event includes competitions for the Polish Cup and qualifiers for the ‘Kielich’ climbing wall.

The memorial was established in 2014 to honor Iwona Buczek, a climber from the Lubin Mountain Lovers Association who passed away in July 2014. Over the last decade, the event has grown from a small social gathering into a major national competition with a prize pool exceeding 14,000 PLN. The competition features the ‘Kielich’, a 34-meter former water tower that serves as the tallest artificial climbing wall in Poland.
