Poland reports multiple violent crimes and legal scandals
Poland has seen a series of diverse criminal incidents and legal developments. In Warsaw, doctors identified signs of physical abuse in a two-month-old infant, including a fractured rib and neurological bleeding. In Chrzanów, police arrested a 64-year-old Ukrainian national wanted by Interpol for serious sexual offenses against children.
Violent crimes have also been reported, including a brutal assault on a 22-year-old in Gostyn, a stabbing in Lubsko, and a construction site attack in Janówko Pierwszym where a 44-year-old Ukrainian man allegedly beat two colleagues with a metal pipe. In Jaworzno, a young man remains in a medically induced coma after being set on fire by peers.
Legal and administrative issues include the suspension of a judge in Szczecin for driving with 2.1 per mille of alcohol, and the arrest of a Ukrainian military officer for allegedly accepting bribes to falsify disability claims. Other incidents involve a fatal construction accident in Gościcin due to electrocution, a child abduction case in Wieluń, and various thefts and robberies across several regions.
