Polish towns roll out dozens of free summer cultural and transport events

Across dozens of municipalities in Poland a packed summer programme has been launched. Free open‑air film screenings are scheduled in Głogów, Suszec, Rzeszów, Zielona Góra and numerous other towns. Cultural festivals and workshops – ranging from book clubs in Gdynia to dance evenings in Siechnice and a three‑day reopening of Lublin’s Park Bronowicki – target families, students and seniors. Historic tram cars from Kraków and Poznań will run on Warsaw’s tourist lines, while Kraków adds seasonal bus routes to popular recreational sites such as the Kościuszko mound and Ojcowski National Park. Płock introduces two extra municipal bus lines for the holiday period and revives the “Ciuchcia Tumska” river boat service. Police in several regions have announced heightened road‑safety patrols for the travel surge. The initiatives are coordinated by local cultural centres, municipal authorities and regional transport operators, offering largely free access and emphasizing community participation throughout the June‑July holiday season.
