Lublin rental housing recruitment sees low contract rate

A recent institutional rental housing recruitment process in Lublin, involving 388 units built by PFR Nieruchomości at ul. Lubelskich Olimpijczyków 1, resulted in fewer signed contracts than expected. Despite 630 applicants, only 187 families ultimately signed lease agreements.

The selection process consisted of two stages. First, the Lublin City Hall evaluated social criteria, such as tax residency, family status, and educational background, which led to the rejection of 245 applications on formal grounds. The second stage involved a financial verification by PFR Nieruchomości. This stage saw 56 applicants rejected due to insufficient income and 25 applicants withdrawing from the process.

While applicants on the municipal list could access rent subsidies through the ‘Mieszkanie na Start’ program via Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, the high number of vacancies remains a point of interest following the rigorous selection criteria.
