Lublin search for unidentified flying object concludes without findings

Authorities have ended a six-day search operation near the Zemborzycki Reservoir in Lublin, Poland, after failing to locate an unidentified flying object. The search, which involved over 30 Territorial Defense Forces (WOT) soldiers daily and military helicopter support, was initiated following numerous reports from residents who heard a loud object flying overhead during the night of October 17-18.

While no damage to buildings or property was reported, the Operational Command of the Armed Forces launched the investigation to verify radar signals and eyewitness accounts. Potential explanations being considered include meteorological phenomena, weather anomalies, smuggling activities, or provocations.

One hypothesis suggests a possible link to drone debris found in Lithuania on October 18, which was observed approaching from the direction of Poland. While some speculate the object could have been a Ukrainian drone diverted by Russian electronic interference, Polish military officials have not confirmed a violation of Polish airspace or a connection to the Lithuanian incident.
