Lublin sports teams compete in European handball and speedway playoffs

Lublin-based sports teams are entering critical competitive phases in handball and speedway.

PGE MKS El-Volt Lublin is beginning its campaign for the EHF European League. The women's handball team will face KRASOŃ MKS Piotrcovia in the second round of the group stage qualifiers. The first leg of this matchup between the Polish vice-champions and last season's bronze medalists will be held in Lublin.

In speedway, Motor Lublin is set to compete against Unia Leszno in the PGE Ekstraliga bronze medal match. Following a narrow 46-44 loss in the first encounter at the Smoczyki stadium, the teams will battle for third place. Motor Lublin aims to secure a medal despite a challenging season, relying on key riders such as Bartosz Zmarzlik.
