Lublin to host new Eastern European Cardiovascular Center

A new medical facility, the Eastern European Center for Vascular, Heart, and Transplantology, is being developed in Lublin at the Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński Provincial Specialist Hospital. The project, valued at nearly 300 million PLN, involves the construction of a six-story, 14,000-square-meter Block S.

The center will feature 73 hospital beds, including intensive post-operative care units, alongside departments for cardiology, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and diagnostic laboratories. It will be equipped with advanced technology, including two angiographs, ultrasound systems, CT, and MRI machines specialized for cardiovascular diagnostics.

In addition to medical care, the facility is designed with dual-use infrastructure. It includes an underground protective space capable of sheltering approximately 800 people during crisis situations. The project is scheduled for completion between 2028 and 2029.
