Lublin-Trapani air route to drive tourism promotion in Western Sicily

A new tourism promotion project is being launched to connect the Polish market with Western Sicily, utilizing the existing air route between Lublin and Trapani-Birgi. Managed by Airgest, the airport operator for Trapani-Birgi, the initiative aims to transform a standard flight connection into a strategic marketing tool to drive tourism and commercial relations.

The project is a collaborative effort involving Peralta Production, the Pro Loco Isole Egadi, and the Consorzio della Laguna Stagnone e di Marsala. It focuses on promoting three primary attractions to the Polish public: Marsala, the Stagnone Lagoon, and the Egadi Islands.

Following a public competition, the marketing team from Lublin Airport was selected to lead the strategy. The approach moves beyond traditional advertising by engaging Polish tour operators, travel agencies, and specialized journalists to foster long-term economic ties. The initiative begins with a Polish delegation visiting Marsala to conduct institutional meetings and site visits.
