Lublin Voivodeship holds emergency response training for air attack safety

On September 19, emergency response training sessions were held across the Lublin Voivodeship to educate residents on recognizing alarm signals and responding to potential air attacks. The initiative, titled ‘Open Station Days – Response Training’, was a joint effort by the Ministry of Interior and Administration, the State Fire Service, and volunteer fire departments.

During the sessions, firefighters provided practical guidance on identifying official warnings, using RCB alerts, and finding safe shelter using tools like the ‘Where to Hide’ application. Training also included first aid courses and practical exercises.

Minister of Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński attended the event and addressed public concerns regarding safety. He advised that in the event of an alarm, individuals should seek shelter in areas away from glass, such as hallways or bathrooms. He noted that basements are generally safe if they lack hazardous gas infrastructure or flammable materials. Kierwiński also stated that during wartime, administrators would be obligated to make underground garages and other private spaces available for protection.
