Lubuk Begalung accelerates social protection data collection

The Lubuk Begalung District government in Padang, West Sumatra, is accelerating the data collection and activation of social protection (Perlinsos) programs for its residents. To ensure comprehensive coverage, officials are utilizing a ‘jemput bola’ (proactive outreach) system, where officers visit residents directly at their homes.

To accommodate citizens who are unable to access services during standard working hours, the district office and local sub-district offices are remaining open through the weekend, including Saturdays and Sundays. District Head Ikrar Prakarsa stated that this initiative aims to reform bureaucracy by making it more responsive and ensuring that social safety net rights are not hindered by administrative delays.
