Luca Barbarossa wins 1992 Sanremo Music Festival

The 42nd edition of the Sanremo Music Festival concluded on February 29, 1992, at the Teatro Ariston. Luca Barbarossa secured first place in the Champions category with his song ‘Portami a ballare’.

Mia Martini took second place with ‘Gli uomini non cambiano’, marking an emotional return to the festival. Paolo Vallesi finished third with ‘La forza della vita’.

In the Newcomers category, the song ‘Non amarmi’ by Aleandro Baldini and Francesca Alotta achieved significant international success, later being covered by artists such as Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony under the Spanish title ‘No Me Ames’.

The festival was hosted by Pippo Baudo, alongside co-hosts Alba Parietti, Brigitte Nielsen, and Milly Carlucci, with Adriano Aragozzini serving as executive producer.
