Luca Cannata calls for anti-corruption probe into Aretusacque
Luca Cannata, a national deputy and Vice President of the Chamber's Budget Committee, has called for all documents regarding Aretusacque to be submitted to the National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC). The request follows disputes regarding the company's legal status and its claim that it is not subject to public control.
Cannata argues that a company established to manage essential municipal water services must not use its own interpretations to evade legal oversight and transparency requirements. He is seeking clarity on work procurement methods, investments, and oversight procedures to ensure that the public interest is protected during the management of these resources.
Additionally, Cannata has called for an urgent meeting of the ATI Mayors' Assembly to ensure all involved municipalities are fully informed. He emphasized that the involvement of private partners should lead to increased efficiency and investment without compromising the role of local institutional control.
