Luca Ferrucci resigns as Sviluppumbria chief, unions call for stability

Professor Luca Ferrucci has stepped down as amministratore unico of Sviluppumbria spa, the regional development agency of Umbria. The resignations were met with strong concern from the regional secretariats of the unions Fabi, First Cisl, Fisac Cgil and Uilca Uil, which together with the company’s employee representatives demanded that the agency maintain full operational continuity and stability.

The unions highlighted the critical timing, noting that Sviluppumbria is in the midst of defining the Defr 2027‑2029 framework and negotiating a corporate integrative contract that underpins the agency’s human‑capital strategy. They warned that any managerial vacuum could jeopardise the agency’s role in supporting local SMEs, stabilising precarious staff, and addressing the region’s broader economic challenges.
