Luca Zidane joins CD Leganés on one‑year deal
Algerian international goalkeeper Luca Zidane, 28, has left Granada CF by mutual consent after two seasons and 45 appearances. He signed a contract with Spanish Segunda División side CD Leganés for one year, with an option to extend for a second season. The move was confirmed by both clubs in early August 2026. Leganés, which also signed Raúl Fernández this summer, will have Zidane compete for the starting goalkeeper position. Luca, the son of former France World Cup winner Zinedine Zidane, began his career in Real Madrid’s academy and has previously played for Racing Santander, Rayo Vallecano, Eibar and Granada. He represented Algeria at the 2026 World Cup, starting three of the team’s four matches.
