Lucas and Sacha Coenen to join AMA SuperMotocross in 2027

Belgian motocross twins Lucas and Sacha Coenen will transition from the MXGP FIM World Championship to the AMA SuperMotocross series starting in 2027. The Red Bull KTM factory riders have signed a multi-year contract extension to remain with KTM while making the move to the United States.

Lucas Coenen, the sport’s youngest-ever premier-class Grand Prix winner and a recent MXGP runner-up, will compete in the 450SX/MX classes. Sacha Coenen, a consistent front-runner in the MX2 category, will contest the 250SX/MX classes. The riders previously gained experience in the American series through a wildcard appearance in Colorado.
