Lucas Beraldo uses video analysis to adapt to new midfield role at PSG

Lucas Beraldo is undergoing a positional transition at Paris Saint-Germain, moving from his traditional role as a center-back to playing as a defensive midfielder under manager Luis Enrique. To facilitate this adaptation, the player is utilizing specialized video analysis provided by Scout Vision PRO.

The training focuses on the distinct technical and tactical demands of the midfield, such as oriented control and decision-making under pressure. Unlike a center-back who often plays with more space and vision, a midfielder must frequently receive the ball under pressure and make rapid decisions.

Pedro Tomaides, CEO of Scout Vision, noted that while Beraldo possesses the necessary technical quality and tactical intelligence, the shift requires adjusting his field of vision and timing. The methodology uses footage of Beraldo’s own performances alongside examples from other professional athletes to demonstrate optimal tactical alternatives.
