Lucas Blondel defends Morena Beltrán against journalist's comments

Footballer Lucas Blondel has publicly defended his fiancée, sports journalist Morena Beltrán, following derogatory comments made by a journalist on social media. The controversy arose after journalist Lucas Schmidt posted a video regarding a match between Huracán and River Plate, in which he made disparaging remarks about Beltrán.

Blondel addressed the situation on social media, stating that while he accepts criticism regarding sports performance, he will not tolerate disrespectful comments about women. He criticized the description of Beltrán as a ‘caramelo’ (candy) and expressed that finding the love of his life makes him a better person.

Beltrán, who is a presenter for ESPN’s F90, also addressed the matter during her broadcast. The couple, who began dating in January 2024, recently became engaged during a trip to Punta del Este.
