Lucas Chevalier's Future Uncertain as Fenerbahçe Pursues Transfer and PSG Mulls Options
Turkish club Fenerbahçe is reportedly preparing a €15 million bid for 23‑year‑old French goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, currently with Lille. The club’s management cites his reflexes, ball‑play and penalty‑saving ability as fitting their system and sees him as a long‑term investment for European competition. Chevalier has earned ten caps for France’s U21 side and kept twelve clean sheets in 35 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
Paris Saint‑Germain, which signed Chevalier for €40 million in the summer, says he has not convinced the coaching staff and is unlikely to leave unless he requests a transfer. Russian keeper Matvei Safonov is expected to start ahead of him, while PSG may consider other goalkeeper options but does not plan a immediate sale.
Both clubs are weighing the player’s role as they plan their squads for upcoming domestic and continental campaigns.
