Lucas Coenen Wins MXGP Portugal Qualifying in Águeda

Sunny weather returned to the Crossdromo Internacional de Águeda for round ten of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship. In the MXGP qualifying race, Belgian rider Lucas Coenen secured his fourth win of the season, edging out title rival Jeffrey Herlings by a narrow margin. Spanish rider Guillem Farres claimed his first career qualifying race victory for Triumph Racing, while Sacha Coenen finished second and Simon Längenfelder third. Practice sessions saw Herlings post the fastest lap, with strong performances from Ruben Fernandez, Tim Gajser and Romain Febvre.
