Lucas Digne faces competition at Paris Saint-Germain

Lucas Digne is struggling to secure a consistent role in Luis Enrique’s Paris Saint-Germain squad following his €8 million transfer. Despite his experience, the French international has only made three Ligue 1 appearances this season.

Digne’s position in the squad hierarchy has been further challenged by Lucas Hernandez, who delivered a strong performance against FC Barcelona in the Champions League. Hernandez has emerged as the primary alternative to Nuno Mendes during the latter's injury absence, potentially displacing Digne as the first-choice backup at left-back.

Reports indicate that Digne’s situation was previously complicated by a disciplinary measure following a match against AS Monaco on September 4, where he was left out of the squad due to perceived lack of involvement. While Digne remains well-integrated into the locker room, his limited playing time may impact his standing with the national team.
