Lucas do Rio Verde participated in the XXIX Brazilian Congress of Ombudsmen/Ombudsman, held in Recife, Pernambuco, from August 17 to 19. The municipality was represented by general ombudsman Cleonice Pereira da Silva, alongside Aline Teixeira from the Health Secretariat and Félix Espíndola Dutra from the Public Security Secretariat.

Working alongside the Mato Grosso section of the Brazilian Association of Ombudsmen (ABO/MT), the municipality was one of six from Mato Grosso to attend. The congress focused on strengthening the ombudsman field through discussions on ethics, transparency, harassment prevention, psychosocial risk management, and the autonomy of ombudsman offices. The event also addressed the evolving role of professionals in areas such as data analysis, innovation, and leadership.
