Lucas do Rio Verde celebrates Pioneer Day and unveils 2026 cultural calendar

The municipality of Lucas do Rio Verde held the second edition of the Dia do Pioneiro Luverdense on June 19, 2024, at the local Historical Museum. Organized by the city’s Secretariat of Culture and Tourism and established by municipal law 3.820/2025, the ceremony honored early settlers and the founding women of the Clube de Mães, linking the event to the historic plebiscite that led to the city’s political emancipation.

In a separate announcement, the city released its official cultural agenda for June and the second half of 2026. The schedule includes a variety of activities such as a traditional Arraiá, piano and vocal recitals, the Cantarte auditions, urban dance shows, a Capoeira tournament, a new "Dia do Rock," multiple editions of the Festival de Artes e Cores, a Feira do Conhecimento, and the year‑end "Natal da Esperança" celebrations running from December 5 to January 3, 2027. The program aims to broaden public access to the arts, strengthen community participation, and highlight the municipality’s cultural identity.
