Lucas do Rio Verde increases public safety and traffic education efforts

The Municipal Civil Guard of Lucas do Rio Verde is expanding its public safety initiatives through new traffic education programs and monitoring of noise disturbances.

To improve road safety, the municipality has scheduled a training session for electric bicycle and motorcycle users on November 7. The program includes theoretical classes at the City Council and practical activities at a local driving school. The initiative, coordinated by the Municipal Secretariat of Public Security, aims to address imprudence involving electric vehicles in public spaces and pedestrian areas.

Simultaneously, local authorities reported a 10.5% increase in noise disturbance complaints this year, with 1,756 recorded incidents compared to 1,589 during the same period last year. The rise in complaints involves excessive noise from residences, vehicles, and commercial establishments. Significant increases were noted in the Tessele Junior neighborhood, which saw a 225.5% rise in occurrences, as well as in Jardim das Palmeiras and Veneza.
