Lucas do Rio Verde launches first round of 6th Municipal Mathematics Olympiad

On Thursday, June 25, 5,320 students from the thirteen municipal schools of Lucas do Rio Verde took part in the opening stage of the VI Municipal Mathematics Olympiad. The event is a joint effort of the municipal Education Secretariat and the State University of Mato Grosso (Unemat) campus in Sinop, aimed at strengthening mathematics teaching, spotting talent and encouraging logical reasoning.

The competition is organized into three age levels (grades 4‑5, 6‑7 and 8‑9) and proceeds through three phases. The next test is scheduled for 14:00 on 18 August, the third phase will run on 19 September at 07:30, and the awards ceremony is set for 8 October.
