Lucas do Rio Verde names Clara Lívia as ‘Bebê Prefeita’

Clara Lívia Rodrigues de Souza has been named the new ‘Bebê Prefeita’ (Baby Mayor) of Lucas do Rio Verde. The symbolic handover of the city keys to her parents, Edson Rodrigues Carvalho and Ana Carla Barbosa de Souza, took place in the São Cristóvão district.

The selection is part of the ‘Semana do Bebê’ (Baby Week) and Unicef Seal initiatives, which aim to promote early childhood care and rights. To qualify, infants must be born in Lucas do Rio Verde, have up-to-date vaccinations, and have undergone prenatal care through the Unified Health System (SUS). Clara Lívia, born on August 2, 2026, was the first infant of the month to meet all necessary requirements.

The program is a partnership between the Secretariat of Social Assistance and Housing and Unicef, focusing on ensuring healthy development for children from birth to age six.
