Lucas do Rio Verde sheep slaughterhouse gains national certification

A sheep meat slaughterhouse in Lucas do Rio Verde has obtained the Brazilian System of Inspection of Products of Animal Origin (SSBI-POA) certification. This authorization allows the facility to commercialize its products throughout the entire Brazilian national territory.

The certification process was supported by the local government through the Secretariat of Agriculture and Environment, which provided inspection and monitoring of sanitary conditions and slaughter procedures. The establishment previously operated under municipal inspection and later integrated the inspection service via the Alto Teles Pires Intermunicipal Consortium (SIM/CIDESA). This achievement is part of local public policies aimed at encouraging agro-industrialization and adding value to regional production.
