Lucas do Rio Verde Shifts Service Tax Invoicing to National Portal

The municipality of Lucas do Rio Verde in Brazil announced that, starting Tuesday, 7 April, all electronic service invoices (NFS‑e) must be issued exclusively through the National NFS‑e Portal. The change aligns the city’s tax‑document system with the upcoming national standard and the tax‑reform measures outlined in CGSN Resolution 189/2026, which will make the national emitter mandatory for Simple National firms from 1 September 2026.

The city’s Finance Secretary, Giovanni Rodrigues da Silva, said the municipal Fly e‑Nota platform will be phased out, with the older system scheduled for deactivation on 10 August. Businesses and accountants are being urged to transition now, and the municipality will provide guidance and contact details for assistance.

The shift is intended to give local taxpayers an adaptation period before the nationwide requirement takes effect, simplifying integration for firms that already have their own invoicing solutions.
