Gimnasia La Plata signs Lucas Janson on contract through 2027

Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata announced the signing of 31‑year‑old forward Lucas Ezequiel Janson. The Olavarriense arrives from Boca Juniors and has agreed to a contract that runs until June 2027.

Janson, who can operate on either wing or as a central striker, brings more than 300 professional matches, 68 goals and 36 assists to the squad. His career includes spells with Tigre, Toronto FC in the MLS, Vélez Sársfield and Boca Juniors, where he won domestic titles and played in international competitions such as the Copa Libertadores.

The club said the acquisition adds experience and tactical variety to its attack ahead of the Torneo Clausura and the Copa Argentina.
