Lucas Pavanato and influencer confronted by voter in restaurant

Brazilian councilman Lucas Pavanato and influencer Gabriel Costenaro were involved in a verbal confrontation with a voter at a restaurant over the weekend. The incident began when an unidentified man confronted Pavanato, accusing him of avoiding a scheduled debate with Federal Deputy Glauber Braga (PSOL-RJ).

During the altercation, Pavanato called upon Costenaro to intervene. Costenaro engaged the voter, directing accusations toward Deputy Braga. The confrontation involved shouting and finger-pointing, though no physical aggression was reported.

The incident has reignited discussions regarding a canceled debate between Pavanato and Braga scheduled for March at the ‘3 Irmãos’ podcast. While Pavanato has contested the reasons for the cancellation, the podcast organizers previously stated that the meeting was called off due to disagreements over rules, including Pavanato’s requests to pre-determine topics and use mobile phones during the recording.
