Lucas Perri chooses Torino over Marseille in pending loan from Leeds

Olympique de Marseille tried to secure goalkeeper Lucas Perri as a replacement for Gerónimo Rulli, but the Brazilian preferred a move to Serie A side Torino. Torino had already been negotiating with Leeds United, who own Perri, and were set to complete a season‑long loan with an option to buy.

Perri is currently recovering from a minor finger injury, which has delayed the formal announcement of the deal. Leeds have meanwhile completed the signing of James Trafford as their new first‑choice goalkeeper, while other squad members are also being considered for departures.
