Lucas Ribeiro advocates for SUS healthcare strengthening in Paraíba

Governor Lucas Ribeiro led a plenary session in João Pessoa titled “Defesa do SUS” to advocate for the Unified Health System (SUS) in Paraíba. During the event, Ribeiro emphasized the importance of the partnership with President Lula to expand healthcare services, including investments in hospitals, specialized care, and surgical procedures.

Ribeiro highlighted specific initiatives such as Opera Paraíba and Coração Paraibano, noting that the state aims to provide high-quality services that rival private networks. He stressed that maintaining existing medical structures is as vital as constructing new ones and called for continued cooperation between state and federal governments to ensure healthcare reaches all regions of Paraíba.
