Paraíba candidates advance 2026 election campaigns

Political candidates in Paraíba are intensifying their campaigns for the 2026 elections through various policy announcements and media engagements.

Cícero Lucena has presented a commitment letter to the Medical Union focusing on public health improvements, including addressing the centralization of high-complexity care and incentivizing specialists to work in the state's interior. He also proposed that the State University of Paraíba (UEPB) oversee the curriculum for new regional technical schools to better align vocational training with local economic needs.

Incumbent Lucas Ribeiro announced plans to requalify the Serra de Teixeira road and the PB-262 highway during a campaign event in Teixeira. He highlighted R$ 183 million in previous investments for the municipality.
