Lucas Souza arrested while attempting to flee to Ceará

Lucas Souza has been arrested on the Anhanguera Highway in Orlândia, São Paulo, while attempting to flee to Ceará. Souza was wanted on a preventive arrest warrant for the double homicide of Lucas Eduardo Tonetti, 26, and Marcos Otávio Pinto, 29.

The victims were shot on the night of September 10 in the Jardim Ferri neighborhood of Vargem Grande do Sul. Following an intelligence investigation, authorities tracked Souza to Santa Cruz das Palmeiras, where he boarded a bus destined for Ceará.

Highway Military Police intercepted the vehicle after receiving reports that a fugitive might be on board. Although no weapons were found during the search, a document check confirmed the outstanding warrant. Souza was taken to the Orlândia Civil Police station and remains in custody.
