Lucasfilm continues development on two Star Wars film projects

Recent industry listings from Production Weekly suggest that two previously uncertain Star Wars film projects are still in development at Lucasfilm.

One project, titled ‘Star Wars: New Jedi Order’, is expected to feature Daisy Ridley returning as Rey. The story is reportedly set approximately 15 years after ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ and will follow her efforts to rebuild the Jedi Order. While the project has faced various changes in writers and directors, the new listing indicates it remains active.

Additionally, an untitled film project from Dave Filoni, intended to serve as a cinematic conclusion to the ‘Mandoverse’ storylines, also appears to be moving forward. This project aims to bring together characters such as Din Djarin and Ahsoka Tano. Despite recent box office challenges for other Star Wars properties, these listings suggest Disney has not abandoned these specific cinematic expansions.
