Lucca and Bertinoro Host New Art Exhibitions

The Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Lucca will open a solo show of painter Pierluigi Romani on 31 January 2026, running until 22 February. More than 30 works spanning the artist’s career, including aerial‑perspective landscapes, will be displayed free to the public, with the exhibit curated by Alessandra Trabucchi and a catalogue published by Maria Pacini Fazzi Editore.

In Bertinoro, the municipal palace’s Sala del Popolo is presenting Lavinia Berto’s photographic exhibition “Bartnòra”. The show, curated by a student of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, reworks historic photos and postcards with contemporary graphic interventions to explore memory, family dynamics and local identity. It is open during regular municipal office hours and also during extended evening slots, with detailed visiting times listed.

Both exhibitions highlight contemporary Italian artists engaging with regional history and visual experimentation, offering free or low‑cost access to the public in their respective towns.
