Lucca Comics & Games 2026 marks 60th anniversary

The 2026 edition of Lucca Comics & Games celebrated its 60th anniversary, serving as a major cultural hub for cinema, comics, video games, and pop culture. The event featured immersive experiences, including a dedicated pavilion for the upcoming HBO Original Harry Potter series.

However, the Comitato Vivere il Centro Storico has criticized the event's organization. Residents reported significant logistical issues, including inadequate city gate controls, noise violations, and unauthorized late-night music. The committee also cited difficulties with pedestrian routes and parking access for residents and subscribers, describing the management as “organized disorganization.”
