Lucca Comics & Games announces 60th anniversary program

Lucca Comics & Games has unveiled the program for its 60th anniversary edition, titled ‘Legacy,’ scheduled to take place from October 28 to November 1, 2026. The festival will feature an expanded number of pavilions and stands, celebrating six decades of pop culture, including comics, gaming, cinema, and animation.

Key highlights include the return of the Targa Oesterheld award to promote dialogue between peoples and a special exhibition at Palazzo Guinigi titled ‘Lucca Legacy: a comics and games story.’ The official poster, a ‘meta-poster’ created by international comics master Claudio Castellini, features various iconic characters to represent the festival’s history.

Major industry players and franchises will be present. SEGA and ATLUS will showcase titles like Alien: Isolation 2 and Persona 4 Revival, while Square Enix will feature producer Yoshinori Kitase for Final Fantasy VII. Disney+ will bring the cast of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ to present exclusive footage from the third season. Other notable participants include Crunchyroll, CD Projekt Red, and Bandai Namco. The event also includes a new pixel-art video game, ‘Luke & Clea,’ and a documentary produced by RAI to mark the milestone anniversary.
