Lucca history reconstructed using artificial intelligence

Alessio Pisani has released a new volume titled ‘Lucca. L’immagine nel tempo’, published by Pacini Fazzi, which utilizes artificial intelligence to reconstruct the historical evolution of Lucca, Italy.

The book covers the city's history from the late Republican period through the year 1000. It features fifty large plates created with AI support, based on historical and archaeological studies, to visualize the city's former monuments and sites, including the Roman forum, the theater, the amphitheater, and various churches.
