Lucca transport company blocked from 75,000 euro fuel refund after phantom station fraud

The Guardia di Finanza and the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli have blocked approximately 75,000 euros in fuel tax refunds intended for a transport company in the province of Lucca, Italy. Investigations revealed that the company had claimed to use a private fuel distribution station to obtain diesel excise tax relief, but authorities determined the facility did not exist.

The legal representative of the company has been reported to the judicial authorities for ideological falsehood in a public act. Administratively, the investigation resulted in the recovery or blocking of over 72,000 euros in credits. Additionally, the company was issued an administrative fine of approximately 2,000 euros and is prohibited from submitting new refund requests for the current year and the following two years.
