Lucchese defeats Grassina 3-0 in Coppa Italia Serie D

Lucchese secured a 3-0 victory against Grassina in the Coppa Italia Serie D preliminary round. The match, held at the Pazzagli Stadium in Bagno a Ripoli, saw the more experienced visitors control the game.

Lucchese took an early lead in the 18th minute when Picchi scored following an interception and a pass from Sirbu. The lead was extended in the 36th minute after Sirbu controlled a long clearance and finished from the edge of the area. The victory was sealed in the 57th minute when captain Santeramo scored with a header from a corner kick.

Despite the loss, Grassina attempted several late attacks, with Dini nearly scoring in the 74th and 89th minutes, but the Lucchese defense maintained control to advance to the next round.
