Lucerne hosts 31st Blues Festival and festive season events

The 31st Lucerne Blues Festival is scheduled to take place from November 7 to 15, 2026. The event will feature twelve musical formations performing at the Grand Casino Luzern and Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern. Key concert nights are set for November 12 through 14, with a free opening concert by The Silent Partners at the Hotel Schweizerhof on November 7.

The festival lineup includes a mix of established performers and emerging talents, such as European Blues Contest winner Adama Janlo and Swiss Blues Award recipient Justina Lee Brown. Other scheduled performers include Harrell ‘Young Rell’ Davenport, Janiva Magness, Johnny Sansone, and Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridges.

In a separate seasonal announcement, the Bürgenstock Resort overlooking Lake Lucerne has unveiled its 2026 festive programme, ‘A Handmade Christmas’. The campaign focuses on craftsmanship and local artisans, offering workshops in wreath-making, pottery, and painting, alongside traditional Swiss culinary celebrations and wellness experiences.
