Lucero recalls past romance with Felipe Camiroaga

Mexican singer Lucero has shared details regarding a brief romance she had with the late Chilean television presenter Felipe Camiroaga in the early 1990s. The relationship began during the 1992 Viña del Mar Festival, where both served as members of the jury.

Lucero described the connection as an “express summer romance,” noting that they spent time walking on the beaches of Reñaca and Viña del Mar. Although they attempted to maintain the relationship through visits between Chile and Mexico, they ultimately decided not to pursue an official partnership due to the demands of their respective careers.

Reflecting on the decision, the singer noted that both parties recognized they could not commit to a formal relationship without sacrificing their professional lives. She also touched upon Camiroaga’s death in a 2011 plane crash, expressing reflection on how their lives might have differed had they stayed together.
