Luchador El Hijo de Fishman reaches restitution agreement after referee's death

Wrestler El Hijo de Fishman has reached a restitution agreement with the family of referee Gerardo Germán Pineda, known in the ring as El Búho, following a fatal incident during a professional wrestling event in Mineral de la Reforma, Mexico.

Pineda died after being struck by a prohibited piledriver maneuver during a match involving El Hijo de Fishman and Máscara Sagrada NG. The impact caused severe injuries to Pineda's spine and head. Following the incident, the wrestler was arrested and faced potential manslaughter charges.

Under the terms of the agreement, El Hijo de Fishman will pay 585,525 pesos to Pineda's five children. This reparatory agreement has extinguished the criminal action against the wrestler, allowing him to avoid a criminal record and potential prison time. The deal required the unanimous consent of all five of Pineda's children to proceed.
