Lucia Sisic, Miss Austria 2024, dies at age 22
Lucia Sisic, the reigning Miss Austria 2024, has passed away at the age of 22. Her death was confirmed by Mission Austria, the organization responsible for the national beauty pageants.
Sisic had lived with a congenital heart valve malformation since birth. Throughout her life, she underwent seven heart surgeries to manage the condition, including a recent procedure in early 2025. She had been open about her medical journey, using her platform to advocate for heart health awareness.
Her family has announced that her funeral will take place in Inzersdorf, Vienna. In lieu of flowers, her parents, Ivo and Manda, have requested that donations be made to the organization Herzkinder Österreich Teddyhaus. Mission Austria expressed deep sorrow, describing her as a ‘wonderful young woman’ who would always remain part of their family.
